Title : A Universal Framework for Online Data Validation

We will present a paper describing the architecture of a universal
system for the management of online data validation tasks. The system,
developed using OO techniques and patterns, is able to control several
parallel independent data validation tasks and can automatically perform
actions according to the result of their process such as showing popup
windows, sending e-mails and/or starting automatic recovery procedures
in the event of warnings issued by the tasks.  Almost no requirements
are imposed on the nature and the type of the data validation tasks nor
on the technology used to develop them, so that they can be easily
developed by independent users without knowledge of the system
internals. We will also show the performance observed on its first
application during the test-beam period for the CMS e.m.  calorimeter at
CERN.
