Purpose of the conference
Now there are many ongoing projects
on "New Physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM)",
that is, a wide variety of searches for as yet undiscovered particles
like the Higgs, SUSY particles, and Dark Matter (DM);
and relating to Lepton Flavor Violation (LFV),
Baryon and Lepton number violation processes etc.
The LHC and other experiments are expected to provide
important information on them.
In these situations, comprehensive arguments on New Physics BSM
are crucially important, and in this sense,
GUT is one of the most comprehensive and promising approaches.
There are many direct and indirect predictions
concerned with particle colliders and the other observations.
The purpose of this conference is to discuss GUT
from various points of view: top down and bottom up approaches,
and even including anti GUT approaches.
Topics include, for instance, nucleon decay, leptogenesis (baryogenesis),
LFV, and their experiments (especially muon anomalous g-2,
anomalous dimuon events, and mu to e gamma etc.)
as well as SUSY breaking mechanisms
and the physics of extra dimensions.
GUT cosmology including Dark Energy, DM
and new observations in cosmology are also important themes.
At that time of this proposed conference (March 15-17 2012),
we will have definite results from the LHC and other experiments.
Thus, it is crucial to consider what GUT has to say
on LHC, ILC and other observations
and what constraints GUT gets from them.
