On Line Optimization of the Synchrotron Beam Alignment Using a Linguistic Self-Organized Optimizing Control Scheme.

The project deals with design and implementation of an adaptive controller which optimizes the beam alignment at the SuperESCA beamline using a behavioural model based on fuzzy logic. The operating environment is an extension of the expert system shell FuzzyCLIPS, integrated in the Elettra Beamline Control System.
