When an accelerator is operated, the parameter becomes not so much the result
of theoretical expectation as the experienced sense. If an automatic control
system can supercede all of the manual control system, a manual sense must be
inserted in the automatic system, so that the system shall be more
intellectual. However most of manual senses are expressed unclearly, and thus
are hard to set up the computer. For these reasons, it is difficult for an
automatic control system to replace a manual one. Now, the SPring-8 Linac
tries to swap a non-intelligent system for an intelligent one which has
experienced sense, and we try for conditioning of RF system using fuzzy
intelligent system. This system is based on VME computers.
