Abstract :
The KLOE experiment is acquiring big amounts of data to achieve its
physics goals. Up to now, 200 TBytes of data has been produced and
another 100 TBytes are expected in a year from now.

KLOE is using a tape library with 5500 cartridges of 60 GByte capacity
for permanent storage and uses only a small disk pool ( 2 TBytes right
now, to be expanded to 10 TBytes in the near future) for direct access
to the data.

The data movement between disk and tape is done by a set of fully
automated software daemons.

The talk will present the general architecture of the data handling and
a more detailed review of the data moving alghoritms.
