Title : The new BaBar Computing and Analysis Model

Abstract :    
The BaBar experiment at SLAC has been taking data since May, 1999 and is
just beginning its fourth run. Building on the experience from the first
few years of data taking, BaBar decided in late 2002 to rework its
computing and analysis model. This presentation will describe the core
elements of the new model (a new RootIO based eventstore, the
centralization of analysis tasks into a common skim production, an
improved analysis data format and increased use of distributed
computing) and the status of the deployment of these elements for use in
producing physics results.
