Moloney, Lyle J. Winton, Steven Melnikoff, Rajkumar Buyya, Andrew Wendelborn, Paul Coddington Abstract : A data grid testbed has been constructed for the development of a data analysis and Monte Carlo production framework for the Belle experiment. The testbed is based on the Globus toolkit version 2.4 and is a multi-institution collaboration of physicists and computer scientists in Australia. A software framework is being developed for the convenient handling of the Belle data sets, including a direct interface between the Belle analysis software library, BASF, and the data files distributed on the Belle data grid testbed. The system incorporates a data-description interface for the convenient handling of data by physicists in the Belle collaboration. Though under continuing development, the testbed is in active use for the generation of monte carlo simulated data, and analysis of the generated data sets. We will present the status and future plans for the Belle data grid testbed in Australia, and our software environment for grid-based analysis of Belle data.
