First circular
Workshop on Hadron
Structure at J-PARC
November 30 -
The workshop on Hadron
Structure at J-PARC will be held from November 30 to December 2 at KEK,
The first two days will be dedicated to the physics
discussion mainly on hard processes. The topics include, but not limited to
* dimuon measurements with and without polarized proton
beam,
* hadron/photon production
with and without polarized proton beam,
* other
hard processes with the proton beam,
* hadron-structure studies
with neutrino beam.
The third day will be dedicated to other J-PARC
topics such as
* hadron spectroscopy, exotic hadrons,
* hadron properties in nuclear medium.
We have invited leading scientists from all over
the world on the subjects, and the list of confirmed speakers includes,
* Robert L. Jaffe (MIT),
* Stan Brodsky (SLAC), and
* Mark Strikman (
Other leading physicists are being contacted. We
believe we can release the full list in the second circular.
We would also like to invite contributed talks on
both experimental and theoretical studies on the relevant subjects. We hope to have
many contributed talks to maximize the outcome from the newly constructed
machine, J-PARC. We have some funds to cover domestic travel especially to
encourage graduate students and postdocs.
The second circular will be distributed in
September, and it includes detailed information on practical matters such as
registration, housing, etc. The workshop web page will be announced in the
second circular.
