Proceedings Pixel2012

The contributions to Pixel2012 will be published as a special issue of Nuclear Instrumentations and Methods in Physics Research, Section A (NIMA).

Length of the contributions:
1. 30 min. talk (25+5 mins Q/A): 7/8 pages
2. 20 min. talk (17+3 mins Q/A): 5/6 pages
3. Poster presentaion: 5/6 pages

Submission to this journal proceeds totally online and you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of your files. Please, take into account the submission

DEADLINE: October 29, 2012 .

The cost of the proceedings is included in the conference fee, therefore a single issue will be sent to each participant.

 

Instructions for online paper submission

The submission website for this journal is located at: http://ees.elsevier.com/nima_proceedings/default.asp, and "submit paper" ( http://ees.elsevier.com/nima_proceedings/submit_manuscript.asp, then "Author Login"). If you are using the first time Elsevier Editorial System (EES) it is necessary to register at the page mentioned above. To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion into the Pixel 2010 proceedings, it is mandatory to select Special issue: PIXEL 2012 when you reach the "Article Type" step in the submission process.

The manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the standards of the journal. Please, have a look first at ELSEVIER'S GUIDE TO PUBLICATION. One has to use specific for NIM A Instructions for Authors (web) and (pdf). There one can find instructions how to write a manuscript in Word and Latex. One can also find useful information in the Elsevier's FAQ.

Latex users. Here is a recommended template: pixel2012-template. It is advised to have a look at elsdoc.pdf that contains detailed descriptions and examples.

How to calculate the size of a paper:
1. Full text page contains about 6800 characters (including space characters).
2. Generally the title and abstract takes about 1/2 page.
3. One square figure (that fits one column) corresponds to about 1200 symbols plus about 60 symbols for one caption line.
4. Recommended Linux template provides the best approximation to the size of the final paper.
