HYP2009 (or HypX) == First Announcement == Dear Colleagues, We are going to hold the 10th International Conference on Hypernuclear and Strange Particle Physics in Tokai, Ibaraki, Japan on September 14 - 18, 2009. Tokai is the place where J-PARC is located. As you may know, the J-PARC accelerators are now in the beam commissioning stage. Just recently, the beam power from the 3-GeV proton synchrotron successfully reached 0.2 MW. It is already at about 30% of the maximum beam power at this moment. We expect that the beam will be accelerated to 30 GeV in the main ring during December 2008, and the first beam will be extracted early next year. So, we welcome all of you to come to J-PARC in an exciting moment. More details of the conference will be announced by the end of 2008. Looking forward to meeting you in Tokai, J-PARC, next year. == International Advisory Committee == R. Bertini (Torino) H.C. Bhang (Seoul) T. Bressani (Torino) D.H. Davis (London) F.L.
