Overview
The Asian Linear Collider Workshop 2015 (ALCW2015) will take place at KEK in April 20-24, 2015. The workshop will be devoted to accelerator, physics and detector aspects of future high energy electron-positron linear colliders. This workshop is the first Asian regional workshop since the start-up of LCC. Departing from the past regional workshops in Asia (KILC12 and previous), this workshop is co-organized by KEK, ACFA, and LCC and a new style of organization is applied for the physics and detector sessions; the physics session is convened by the LCC Physics working group; the detector session consists of several mini-workshops of detector concept and R&D groups.
The workshop, being organized at a critical time for the ILC project development in Japan, will have a special focus on the ILC progress in Japan. The ILC Tokyo event will be held in the middle of the workshop, April 22, at University of Tokyo, where participants from out side of scientific community get together with us and discuss issues to promote ILC. We hope to have as many participants as possible in Tokyo and boost the move towards the ILC in Japan.
Workshop program
The workshop program consists of plenary and parallel sessions. The conceptual time table is shown below. The topics of the parallel sessions include accelerator, physics, detector R&D's and detector concepts for future linear colliders. The conveners of these sessions will be found at the program and conveners page.
On Wednesday, April 22, ILC Tokyo Event is held at
Itoh Hall, the University of Tokyo.
The morning is for the workshop plenary. In the afternoon, ILC Tokyo Event symposium is organized
by the ILC Tokyo Event organizer. We all get together with people out side of our community
and discuss issues to promote the ILC. In the evening, ILC48 Food Festa will be held
at the Prism Hall of Tokyo Dome City.

A bus transportation from/to Tsukuba to/from Tokyo will be arranged for this event.

Registration and hotel booking
The workshop fee is 30,000 yen if registered and payment completed before 22 March 2015. The fee after this date is 35,000 yen. Only the payment by a credit card is accepted. The fee includes drinks, snacks, lunch boxes, a reception, and a ticket of ILC Food Festa at Tokyo and bus transportations.
The registration and the payment are handled by Japan Travel Bureau (JTB), who can also book your accommodation at selected hotels. You are also free to book yourself. Hotels in Tsukuba area during the workshop period will be busy due to another event in the city. Early booking is strongly recommended.
A small number of rooms at KEK dormitory are block-reserved for students ONLY. Please contact LOC if you'd like to stay in the KEK dormitory.

Visa information and invitation letter
Citizens from certain countries require a visa to enter Japan. Please refer to the following Ministry of Foreign Affairs site to determine if you require a visa to enter Japan. http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/index.html.
An invitation letter to ALCW2015 participants for the visa application can be provided by the LOC upon request. For security reasons this letter can only be made available to registered participants and accompanying persons. Please visit the visa menu for detail information and send personal information to LOC.
