Lodging
There is a hotel list in Tsukuba by KEK
(
hotel-list)
including the hotel-location map in the city
(
hotel-map.pdf).
You may choose one of them. We recommend you to make the reservation
in advance because November is a travel season in Japan.
Please make your own reservation from the official web site of the hotel,
or a reservation site such as Booking.com.
The following discount rates are not available if you make
the reservation from outside (Booking.com).
The following hotels are some suggestions.
The closest hotel to the conference site is the Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal.
We took a block of rooms at the
Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal
for our conference participants.
A KEK discount rate (about 8500 yen/day including tax for a single room)
could be available for the participants,
so you may mention a "KEK conference QNP2018 participant"
when you make a reservation.
The
Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba
is also close to the conference site and a KEK discount rate
(about 9500 yen/day including tax for a single room) could be available.
There are other hotels in the Tsukuba-Center area including:
- Hotel Grand Shinonome:
The room rate is about 6500-7500 yen/day for a single room. No KEK rate.
For our conference, a block of rooms are taken until Nov.17 (out) from Nov.12 (in).
Four rooms are availabel from Nov.17 to Nov.18. The block of rooms are non-smoking ones.
Please mention "KEK conference QNP2018 participant" when you make a reservation.
-
Daiwa Roynet Hotel TSUKUBA:
A KEK discount of about 5% may be possible but it depends on the date.
You may inquire the hotel directly. The room rate is generally in the range
8500-9000 yen but it could be more expensive in the weekend.
Please mention "KEK conference QNP2018 participant" when you make a reservation.
If you take the Tsukuba-Express train, there are some hotels at the next train stop (Kenkyu-Gauen, a few minites by train)
to the Tsukuba Center:
The
Urban hotel
has a KEK discount (6300 yen/day for a single room).
The hotel location is close to KEK; however, it is far away
from the conference site (about 9km)
although a shuttle service could be possible depending
on the availability between the Tsukuba Center and the hotel.
For participants (mainly graduate students and postdocs)
who do not have enough fund to stay at a hotel, we may assign
KEK dormitory rooms
(1500-2000 yen/day for a single room) on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you would like to make a reservation, please send an email request
to the organizers, qnp2018(AT)ml.post.kek.jp, by September 14, 2018.
We have a limited number of rooms.
In November, a KEK accelerator facility is under operation, so that
there is a possibility that the room with bath and toilet may not be available.
